Festival of Future Nows 2017 ∞, Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin
Includes a collaboration with Nico Arauner
For the Festival of Future Nows 2017 ∞ at Hamburger Bahnhof, Kaya Cynara consists of three parts taking place inside and outside the museum. In the collaborative work Aggregat, the artists Nico Arauner and Hans-Henning Korb nest under the walls of the Urs Fischer ruin at the Hamburger Bahnhof, dying textiles in artichoke juice, revealing in the weave and shapes of contemporary garments a narrative of hybrid covers. In the historic hall, a two part installation presents two video works, Cynara and Anavatapta. Throughout the festival, organic refuse from Aggregat will be transported to the garden and reused as compost in Anavatapta, generating cyclical actions that connect the inner and outer spaces.
